Bringing your beloved pet, a loved one, or your favorite character to life through a portrait tattoo is one of the most rewarding, yet challenging styles I take on. Portrait tattoos are a true test of precision - there’s little room for change once the design is set and the focus is on creating a lifelike representation. I am constantly working to improve in this area, as I believe there’s always more to learn.

Since I work from the photos you provide, it’s especially helpful to have clear, high-quality images to work from. Sometimes I work with photos that can’t be re-taken, but rest assured, I will always do my best to capture the likeness. When it comes to portraits of loved ones, I think it’s a beautiful way to keep their memory close, carrying a part of them with you.

I generally prefer to create portraits of people in black and grey, with the option of adding colour accents for subtle enhancements. Matching colour tones to photos can be challenging on skin due to its natural undertones, so while I can certainly attempt it, it’s something that requires special care and consideration. Colour portraits tend to take on a more illustrative style so if you're OK with that then so am I!
